Mercenary Captains are commanders within the Mercenary Guild. They can be found inside the bars in towns and waystations or wandering from town to town.

They wear [Shoddy] armour (15% chance of [Standard]) and have weapons manufactured by Catun Scrapmaster.

The Statistics here are taken from FCS. Skills will be multiplied by the racial multiplier. Players should also be aware that non-player characters also level up while fighting.

Mercenary Captains are the representatives of their mercenary squad. Speaking to them allows you to hire them and whoever is following them as bodyguards (c.2000 per day, max 2 days) or outpost protectors (c.1000 per day, max 8 days).

Mercenary Captains, depending on Personality, may continue bodyguarding the lone (one person in squad) player for an additional 6 hours if the player is down when the contract expires. Honorable and Dumb personalities will always do this regardless of squad size, but Traitorous personalities never will.
