–Esata victorious over an enemy. | ||
Esata the Stone Golem is the leader of the Shek Kingdom and has Diplomatic Status.
She can be found in the Faction HQ in Admag along with her daughter Seto, Bayan, and 4 of The Five Invincibles, unless World States have moved the Shek HQ.
Esata wields a legendary Meitou Fragment Axe but lacks enough Strength (It needs 144) to use it at normal speed. Although her combat speed is very low, she is still a force to be reckoned with. She has a hefty c.50,000 Bounty from The Holy Nation and United Cities.
Players can "join" the Shek Kingdom by reaching +75 relations with it, which can be achieved by returning in diverse bounties or instantly by capturing the Bugmaster or any of the Holy Nation's leaders (Phoenix, Valtena or Seta) and bringing them to Esata. If players manage to kill or kidnap Esata, the Shek Kingdom leader will become Mukai The Mountain.
They wear [Masterwork] armour and have weapons manufactured by Cross.

History[1][]
Esata is the first of the Shek leaders to want to address their kingdom’s problem of a declining population, seeing that they would fight themselves extinct if they continue their assaults against The Holy Nation without weakening them first. However, this new strategic rationality has caused a divide in its battle hungry citizens.
Fiery and fueled by her anger for her enemies, Esata is a little less conventional than other past leaders in that she places bigger victory on long-term crushing of enemies over short-term glory. She tries to balance prosperity with glory without fighting themselves extinct, while keeping the religious and warmongering aspirations of her people happy. She temporarily tolerates outsiders for the need to recover a bit from the losses of their war.
| “ | Flatskins. I despise them, and if it were up to me they'll be chased away at our gates... but Bayan tells me their trade is neccessary to the growth of the Shek... so I'll tolerate them. For now. | ” |
The Shek Kingdom puts little importance on academic education, meaning that most Shek can’t read – Esata is no exception to this and is not particularly intelligent. She does, however, have formidable battle skills and an open mind to rational thought. Her aide on the other hand, Bayan, is an impressive intellect. Although the talent of intellects is normally wasted in the traditional Shek Kingdom, Esata relies on Bayan for his advice, for the good of the nation.
| “ | Bayan is my sheath. without him, I’d have gotten lost in my own ego, a corpse on Holy Nation land long ago. Those Okran scum don’t deserve to be my defeaters. With Bayan at my side, the Shek will crush them once and for all. There will be no better glory than this. | ” |
Only the best of the Shek warrior can earn battle names, and Esata earned hers ‘the Stone Golem’ when she joined The Five Invincibles, the Kingdom’s highest-ranking fighters. It was during this time that Esata served under the previous emperor, Shager, whom she challenged on his plans for a potential last ditch suicide attack against The Holy Nation. After a hard-hitting battle one day, Bayan protested against Shager’s plans for a suicide attack against The Holy Nation to regain their honor. In response to Shager’s angry threats against his ‘cowardice’, Esata stepped in and boomed, ‘the man speaks the truth. You want Bayan silenced, you’ll have to cut me down first”. She fought and defeated Shager, becoming the new leader in his place. This may be why there are only four of "The Five Invincibles" as Esata was the 5th.
World States[]
If Esata the Stone Golem is killed/imprisoned, vast majority of the Sheks will go Kamikaze.
(Requiring Esata to be dead)
Admag would fall under Berserkers rule (It will spawn Ghost in Admag if he hasn't been killed/imprisoned).
Squin will have a town override which would include Mukai and still being under SK rule. Or handed over to Kral's Chosen if Mukai is killed while Flying Bull is alive. Or to the Berserkers if both Mukai and Flying Bull are dead.
If Seta is killed, Stack and Bad Teeth will be conquered by Kral's Chosen rule if Flying Bull is alive, Holy Mines will also fall under Kral's Chosen if Phoenix is dead as well.
- If Tengu and Longen are alive then:
- If Seta and Valtena are killed, Bad Teeth is taken over by United Cities.
- If Seta, Phoenix and Flying Bull are killed, Holy Mines are taken over by Slave Traders.
- If Valtena and Phoenix/Seta are killed, Holy Farms are taken over by Slave Traders.
Squads of Shek patrols will cease to spawn inside Stenn Desert.
Kamikaze patrols will start invading Border Zone, Okran's Gulf, Okran's Pride and Skinner's Roam regions. If Mukai is alive and free they can be found patrolling Stenn Desert region.
If Phoenix is alive, The Holy Nation will start spawning 2 types of counter-attack patrols in Border Zone and Skinner's Roam against the Kamikaze.
(Requiring Esata to be alive)
If Seto is killed, Shek Kingdom patrols will start invading Okran's Pride and Okran's Gulf while Admag will have a weakened override.
If Seta is killed, Shek Kingdom patrols will start invading Border Zone, Okran's Pride and Okran's Gulf while Stack and Bad Teeth will be taken over by them.
If Phoenix is killed, Shek Kingdom patrols will start invading Okran's Pride and Okran's Gulf, while Holy Farmers will lament over being extortionately taxed through their tributes.
If Valtena is killed, Okran's Shield will be taken over by Shek Kingdom if the player is allied with them.
If Seta and Phoenix are killed, Holy Mines will be controlled by Shek Kingdom.

If Esata the Stone Golem is turned into the following factions it will grant the following benefits/penalties:
The Holy Nation[]
- -75 relations with Shek Kingdom
- +80 relations with The Holy Nation
- c.50,000 bounty reward
United Cities[]
- -75 relations with Shek Kingdom
- +40 relations with United Cities
- c.50,000 bounty reward
Trivia[]
- Due to racial experience multipliers, Esata's Attack and Toughness can spawn between level 99.6 to 104.4.
- Her bounty is actually assigned by Trader's Guild, but under the United Cities legal system.
- This means she can still be turned in to Police Chiefs of UC.
- Most Shek cannot read, Esata included. [2]
- Although Esata usually prioritizes long-term victory over short-term vengeance, she can still be irrational and disregard such notions if she is sufficiently enraged. Most notably, when Seto is killed or imprisoned for any reason.
- The defeat of Esata causes the removal of around 76% potential Shek Warrior squads in Okran's Pride (among other areas), with the rest ending up as Kamikaze, indicative that they de-populated themselves significantly from fighting after sending out all their forces from Admag.
- World States suggests that the Golem's forces are constantly raiding The Holy Nation, but these raiders are blocked off and 'silenced' by the defenses of Seta and Phoenix, making penetrations very rare, and below the level of simulation in homeless spawns[3]. This is seen in how when Seto is down, the main army force begins its assault by throwing a large portion of their remaining warriors at The Holy Nation[4]. If HN's defenses are destroyed at this point, additional raider forces beyond the main forces begin to spawn even if the main assault has already started, revealing that the raids have been happening all along, just that they were previously blocked[5].
- This is further supported by the mentions of their raidings throughout history[6], and Phoenix's lines about Shek Kingdom's forces terrorizing their populace[7][8].
- Esata could potentially be a member of Kral's Chosen in Squin if she is kidnapped, imprisoned or otherwise unwell while Flying Bull is alive and free, and released after achieving the Mukai override before taking out Mukai to achieve the Kral's Chosen Squin.
