According to ublock origin. It definitely doesn't lead to the interactive map. It links to a website that redirects you to track(dot)tychon(dot)bid. This seems bad.

On page https://kenshi.fandom.com/wiki/Wrath_of_God it says "Note: There is a variant that is meant to have High Inquisitor Valtena, which is supposed to trigger after High Inquisitor Seta has been killed or captured, but in vanilla this is bugged and will not trigger due to High Inquisitor Seta being set as the leader" however I was able to get Valena to lead the Wrath of God by destroying the Holy Military Base that controls Stack and Bad Teeth. then capturing and imprisioning the Phoenix in my camp that is in Okran's Pride. After doing so Valtena led the Wrath of God making the wiki page incorrect. Wasn't able to update the wiki page nor do I know how to contact someone to change it.
I have a pretty high Holy Nation Rep (like 88 or something) and recently had my Squad of Bros (starting character, Beep, Agnu, Griffin) and holy nation patrols don't bother them. Even when going into towns, I don't get attacked. Beep and Agnu of course can't buy anything but even if I send Agnu through town alone they don't even harass him as bad as the Hero League in UC.
I haven't seen anything online of pacifying the Holy Nation while having Skeletons so is this just "High rep prevents hostilities" thing or is it a bug?
In places like The Crags, where there's acid rain SOMETIMES, it would be nice to know if the percentages are uniform, or if it's always acid. Is there an easy way to find the percents? If there is, do they all happen at the same frequency?
What name do you think would be good to describe the "malnourished + half-destroyed" overrides of Stoat and Sho-Battai? What would be a nice way to put it?
I m tired,
How do i find this autistic calculations about food and farming that is way too long to remember everything from after few reads?
I m working on calculating hunger/day modifier that will adapt to a job performed by character
This wiki has some guides on modding in Category:Modding already. There has also been some consideration among the community about branching off the modding community content to a more specialized wiki in order to reduce clutter. If this movement occurs, a likely location for this modding wiki is Kenshi Modding Wiki. (if we can get past some wiki update issues)
Yo!
What's the best for talking about overrides? Create an article for each kind of override for a city? Or write all overrides of the concerned city in his article? Something else?
I apologize for my english
Who can explain what means "/" in Template:Character Stats?
For example, 10/10 or 10/2 in this article: Crumblejon.
And why do we need this template, if there is another one - Template:Stats
Our wiki has historically been relatively strict against advertising/uploading youtube videos. Our wiki has never had other restrictions on Kenshi-related advertising, specifically mods or fan art creators.
Of course, our current stance is to keep this content outside of articles. But in comments on pages, it's a bit more of a case-by-case basis.
Our oldworld category used to literally link to a gameplay video which someone had made, which somewhat goes against our current ... lack of videos? I don't think people should just spam ads for their videos in comments sections, but depending on what our users are looking for, those comments could be helpful?
I think that we should allow video advertising in the comments sections of pages in Category:Guides and potentially in response to questions asked in comments sections of other pages.
Fan art should be restricted to comments sections, forums, and (of course) user pages. After someone uploads some fan art, it might be chosen to be featured on the main page. :) But I don't intend on going searching for fan art to add to the wiki. I feel the same way about memes.
Mods can be posted about in forums and comments. Like fan art, any uploaded pictures could be chosen to be added to the Modifications page (possibly the main page too if we consider putting a "Featured Mod" section, idk). Also not something which I plan on searching for.
Please feel free to respond to this post with your thoughts regarding this topic.
Tied to locations are vendor lists which have relative chance values for each item listed. Locations also have a max item number and a money value. So, if wheatstraw and AI Core both had the same relative chance to spawn, the actual likelihood of an AI Core would be much lower because of the money limit.
Does anyone know of a good way to calculate spawn rates for items?
Is it important to wiki users that there are percentages listed for items rather than simply using the categorical labels of "guarenteed", "common", and "rare"?
I just recently updated Template:Blueprint to match Template:Item's style. Months ago, I designed Template:Greenprint in a slightly different way. Is it worth it to change greenprint to match blueprint's style or should I leave it? Also, which design style should Template:Yellowprint be changed to?

in order to use the Template:Crafting to link correctly, we either need to change the name of Weapon Smithing Bench to Weapon Smith or to use the name Weapon Smithing Bench in the template how it is. (which wouldn't match in game as well)
we could combine the pages on Weapon Smith the skill and Weapon Smith the building, since using the skill requires the buildings mentioned on the page, but that would end up pretty long.
opinions?
I was thinking of changing the naming system so that the page "Weapons (Modding)" to "Weapons (FCS)". The page itself is about the characteristics of weapons in FCS and not about the modding of weapons. The tutorial for that can be found in "Custom Weapons (tutorial)" which I think we should rename to "Custom Weapons (Modding)".
I also think it might be valuable to have special headers made for these pages to add some flair to the modding tutorial sections. the Customization wiki has a simple style for headers which we could easily copy.
another thing i think is worth discussing is what point of view to write tutorials from. most of the wiki is written as "The player can do this if they want" but in the current modding tutorials it is phrased more of "You will select these things in order to complete the steps" - kind of a distinction between second person POV and third person
(didn't link to the modding pages because i want to rename them and saving myself time removing red links later)
I've been spending time recently trying to make the wiki cleaner. This involved categorizing all the images on the wiki (over 1,000) and that lead to the creation of Category:UI Screenshots. This category has inspired me to revamp wiki templates to better match the game UI.
This month's noteworthy templates are now used on Category:Items and i'm pretty satisfied with how they've turned out. I'm going to copy over the templates from Spring Steel into this forum post.
EXAMPLE

Spring Steel is an item which can be turned into Crossbow Parts.

This week I created new templates for use on Vendor Pages.
The templates have documentation on how they're used and examples so you can see how they look. I've already started adding them to pages on Bars. I haven't quite designed how I want to display armour/weapons yet so for now it's just item listing.
Category:Vendors pages are specifcally about locations such as Noble Houses or shops where the building inside of a location has a specific squad and connected vendor lists. Some locations will not link to separate vendor pages though, as the location page can contain all information on its own.
I mean pages on locations like Tiny Settlement. There might be multiple buildings but they're all blended so we wouldn't make a vendor page for that. But in The Hub, there are 3 vendors (and then also camps) so we would link to those pages from The Hub page.
trying out a new style currently
Classic but fresh rounded header
Looks like the previous style but in our Kenshi beige instead of the rusty red that matched the edit buttons
I'm considering changing the headers to this style
[nametag time]
This style is to match the nametags from in-game. This would also kinda match our current workmark:
The content discussed on this page has either been removed from the game or has never been implemented. This content may still be accessible through previous versions of the game or through the Forgotten Construction Set. |
New template for use on pages about Old World stuff and other removed content. I've also been cleaning up those pages lately. Mostly, I've been removing links to current pages and making sure that Alpha pages link to each other.
I've also changed the naming of Old World pages to (Alpha) instead of (Oldworld).
The Old World category has been removed from all pages. I think that using Category:Removed Content is more clear. Both categories had large amounts of overlap.
